NEWSLETTER 14.3.25 This year we celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as characters from our favourite books, wearing our bedme story pyjamas or our favourite comfy clothes. Yellow 6 have been pracsing life skills and their community safety skills by walking to some local shops and cafés. Did you know that Durham County Council has a dedicated webpage for the parents and carers of children and young people with addional needs? It includes informaon to help signpost you to different training courses that are available, specialist services you might be able to access and contact informaon you may find helpful. You can access it at hps://www.durham.gov.uk/localoffer We will be celebrang 40 years of Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day on Friday 21st March. Children are invited to wear red (if they would like) for a £1 donaon to this worthy cause. Being a parent carer of a child with addional needs, disabil- ies and complex needs is tough and it is easy to be hard on yourself and forget about your own thoughts, feelings, mental health and well-being. If you haven’t already, please register with Durham County Carers for extra support! Dates for Spring Term: Parent/Carer Evening and School Nurse Drop-In– Tuesday 18th March 2025. Comic Relief– Friday 21st March 2025. Science Week– W/C 31st March 2025. Ausm Awareness Day – Wednesday 2nd April 2025. Break up for Easter Friday 11th April 2025.
